ARTISA
Brand Identity design for ARTISA – an interdisciplinary academic and art retreat in Epidaurus, Greece.
The Project
Brand Identity, Graphic Design, Print
ARTISA is a unique retreat space nestled in the historic and tranquil landscape of Epidaurus, Greece. It brings together scientists, PhD students, artists, and professionals from all over the world to pause, reflect, connect, and create in an environment that fosters both intellectual depth and personal well-being.
The inspiration for the logotype design stemmed from the initial letter “a”—which I envisioned as an ethereal, dynamic, and playful form, like a scarf dancing freely in the air. It needed to express movement, openness, and the graceful balance between structure and flow—much like the retreat itself.
Apart from the corporate identity, I also designed a printed flyer to communicate ARTISA’s mission and offerings. On the inside, the flyer unfolds into a poster, featuring images of the serene landscape and facilities—inviting the viewer to imagine themselves in this calm, inspiring setting.
Designing for ARTISA was not just another assignment—it was a deeply rewarding experience. The retreat’s energy, the breathtaking surroundings, and above all, the vision and spirit of its founder—an exceptional human being—made this project one of the most memorable collaborations I’ve ever had. ARTISA is much more than a retreat. It’s a transformative journey of mind and soul.
